Top these air fryer Brussels sprouts with pecans and extra maple syrup for a sweet, crunchy finish.

Ingredients

  • Olive oil cooking spray
  • 2 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoon bourbon or apple cider
  • 1 tablespoon reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground ancho chile pepper or chili powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1.5 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 0.333 cup chopped pecans, toasted*

Directions

  1. 1

Coat air-fryer basket with cooking spray. Preheat air fryer at 400°F. In a large bowl whisk together next 8 ingredients (through black pepper). Add Brussels sprouts; toss to coat.

  2. 2

Working in batches, if necessary, arrange Brussels sprouts in a single layer in air-fryer basket (do not overcrowd). Cook 5 minutes; shake basket. Cook 5 to 7 minutes more or until sprouts are tender and deep golden brown. If cooking in batches, return all sprouts to air-fryer basket and cook 1 minute more to heat through.

  3. 3

Top Brussels sprouts with pecans and, if you like, drizzle with additional maple syrup.
