These Apple Pie Baked Beans will be the showstopping side dish of your next barbecue. Made in the oven or on the grill in an hour, they're so easy to make and unbelievably delicious.

Ingredients

  • 21 ouncecan apple pie filling (cut into dice-sized pieces)
  • 30 ouncescanned baked beans
  • ½ cupketchup
  • ¼ cupbrown sugar
  • ¼ cupmolasses
  • 1 tablespoondijon or yellow mustard
  • 1 teaspoonsbarbecue seasoning or rub
  • ½ teaspoonground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoonground nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoonground cloves
  • ¾ cupcooked and crumbled bacon (about 6-8 slices)
  • ¾ cuppeeled and diced diced apple

    Preheat oven to 350°F.

    Add apple pie filling to a large bowl. Using scissors, a potato masher, or chopper, cut the apple slices into smaller, bite-sized pieces.

    To the same bowl, add baked beans, ketchup, brown sugar, molasses, mustard, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, ground cloves, barbecue rub, half of the bacon, and half of the fresh diced apple. Stir everything together until well combined.

    Pour the mixture into a 9x13-inch baking dish and spread evenly. Top with remaining chopped apple and bacon.

    Bake 45-50 minutes, or until the beans are bubbly and the top is slightly caramelized.
