About this Recipe
Looking for a lightning-fast, incredibly satisfying meal that's entirely plant-based? This Best Vegan Fried Rice recipe is your answer, delivering authentic flavors and a gluten-free experience in one pan that’s as delicious as it is easy.
What sets this vegan fried rice apart is its smart use of convenience—like readily available frozen mixed vegetables—combined with the aromatic power of fresh ginger and garlic. The carefully balanced sauce, featuring savory light soy sauce, sweet maple syrup, and tangy rice vinegar, ensures every bite is packed with flavor. It’s a truly budget-friendly and filling dish that doesn't compromise on taste.
Prepare for a symphony of textures and flavors with this quick and easy dish. Each spoonful offers tender cooked rice—ideally, day-old and chilled to prevent mushiness—interspersed with vibrant, crisp-tender mixed vegetables. Everything is coated in a rich, umami-packed sauce that carries subtle hints of sweetness and a pleasant warmth from red chili and chili flakes. The fragrant toasted sesame oil and fresh scallions add layers of aromatic depth, making it a delightfully satisfying one-pan meal that comes together quickly.
This recipe is wonderfully flexible. While it calls for frozen mixed vegetables, you can certainly swap in other quick-cooking vegetables you have on hand, like diced bell peppers, snap peas, or broccoli florets. If you prefer a milder heat, you can adjust the red chili and chili flakes to your taste, or omit them entirely. For those without maple syrup, organic sugar works just as well to provide that crucial touch of sweetness, and always ensure you're using a certified gluten-free soy sauce like L.K.K's gluten-free option to maintain the dish's gluten-free status.
Serve this Best Vegan Fried Rice as a complete and satisfying meal on its own, garnished generously with fresh green scallions, thinly sliced red chili, and a sprinkle of toasted sesame seeds. It's perfect for a wholesome weeknight dinner or a quick, hearty lunch.
