Customization & Variations
Feel free to make this casserole your own! While fresh broccoli florets are fantastic, you can easily use frozen broccoli (no need to thaw first, just add directly). Experiment with other cheeses, like a Colby Jack or a Monterey Jack, for a milder flavor, or a smoked cheddar for more depth. Instead of traditional cheese crackers, consider crushed butter crackers or even panko breadcrumbs mixed with melted butter for a different topping texture.
This Broccoli Casserole is a fantastic addition to any family dinner, holiday spread, or potluck. It pairs beautifully with roasted meats, poultry, or as a substantial vegetarian side. Serve it warm directly from the baking dish for a truly comforting experience.
