These roasted cabbage steaks have a tender center and crunchy golden brown edges that are just so, so addictive. Honestly, the flavor is incredible on 'em, and they go great with practically anything and everything. Plus, believe it or not, you only need 4 ingredients and 30 minutes to make these cabbage steaks in the oven!

Ingredients

  • 2lb. cabbage head
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • ½ tbsp garlic powder

Directions

    Clean the cabbage by removing some of the outer leaves and cutting the stem.

    Cut the cabbage in half, and then each half in the half, so you end up with four flat discs. They should be about 1 inch thick.

    Remove the center core by cutting a small triangle out. Do not remove it entirely because the cabbage steaks will fall apart.

    Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

    Place the cabbage steaks on the baking sheet. Brush the steaks with olive oil on all sides.

    Season the steaks with salt, pepper, and garlic powder on both sides.

    Roast steaks for 25 minutes in the oven or until the center is soft.

    Serve steaks warm.
