Cafeteria noodles are the easy, nostalgic side dish your dinners are missing. After egg noodles are cooked in broth, cream of chicken soup and butter add richness to the noodles.
Gather all ingredients.
Bring chicken broth, bouillon, and pepper to a boil in a large saucepan over high.
Add noodles, reduce heat to medium, and simmer 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in condensed soup. Simmer 5 minutes longer. Cover, remove from heat, and let sit 5 minutes longer until liquid is mostly absorbed but noodles are still saucy.
Remove from heat and stir in butter and herbs until butter has melted. Serve immediately.
