Ingredients

  • 1 packagechocolate cake mix
  • whatever the cake mix box says you need
  • 2 poundsfresh ricotta cheese
  • 4 largeeggs at room temperature
  • ¾ cupwhite sugar
  • 1 teaspoonvanilla extract
  • 1 packageinstant chocolate pudding
  • 1 ½ cupscold milk from the fridge
  • 1tub (8 ounces) whipped topping

Directions

    Turn your oven on to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish thoroughly.

    Follow the box directions to make your chocolate cake batter. Pour it into your greased dish.

    In another bowl, combine and beat the ricotta, eggs, sugar, and vanilla until it's nice and smooth. Carefully drop this mixture over your cake batter.

    Stick it in the oven for 50-60 minutes. You'll know it's done when a toothpick comes out clean from the middle. Let it cool completely.

    Mix the pudding powder with cold milk until it gets thick. Then gently stir in the whipped topping.

    Smooth the pudding mix all over your cooled cake. Put it in the fridge for at least 4 hours but overnight works even better.
