Dates with Goat Cheese Wrapped in Bacon
Ingredients
- 14 oz. dates
The ounces will be listed on the container.
- 4 oz goat cheese
- 1 package bacon
cut either in half or in thirds depending on the size of the dates.
- 4 Tbsp. honey
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh thyme leaves and parsley for topping.
Directions
- 1
Preheat the oven to 350.
- 2
Slice dates in half and remove any pits that are there. Most dates you find will already have the pit removed but check anyways.
- 3
Stuff each date with 1/2 to 1 tsp. of goat cheese.
- 4
Wrap 1/3 - 1/2 piece of bacon around each date and secure with a toothpick.
- 5
Add the wrapped date to a baking rack on top of a baking sheet.
- 6
Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the bacon is crispy. If you want to ensure that all parts of the bacon are crispy, turn halfway though bacon.
- 7
Once they are done, immediately drizzle with honey and top with salt and pepper to taste.
- 8
Let cool a little bit and then serve with fresh parleys and fresh thyme leaves.
