Combine ground beef and turkey to make juicy, delicious burgers and add fresh basil inside to give it a fresh, unexpected taste.

Ingredients

  • 1egg (beaten)
  • ⅝ cupsweet onion (finely chopped)
  • ¼ cupfresh basil (chopped)
  • ½ cupgrated parmesan cheese
  • 2 clovesgarlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoonblack pepper
  • 1 teaspoonsalt
  • optional: 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 poundground turkey
  • 1 poundlean ground beef
  • 1jar roasted red peppers
  • 8hamburger buns (toasted)

    Gather the ingredients.

    Combine egg, onion, basil, Parmesan cheese, garlic, pepper, salt, and ketchup (if using) in a large mixing bowl.

    Add ground turkey and ground beef to the bowl, mixing well.

    Shape into eight 3/4-inch thick patties .

    Preheat grill to high heat. Place burgers on the grill and reduce heat to medium.
