House Favorite Garlic Bread

House Favorite Garlic Bread

5 servings
My go-to for garlic bread! French bread, butter, fresh garlic, garlic powder, Parmesan, and parsley. It's so simple and so ridiculously good.

Ingredients

  • half a loaf of french bread or a full loaf of italian bread
  • salted butter

    cut into chunks

    1 stick
  • clove garlic
    1 large
  • garlic powder
    ¼ tsp
  • finely grated parmesan cheese
    ½ c
  • minced fresh parsley
    2 tbsp

Directions

  1. 1

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Soften the butter in the microwave in short increments.

  2. 2

Grate the garlic directly into the butter.

  3. 3

Add the garlic powder, Parmesan, and parsley; stir to combine. If it’s too runny, just pop it in the fridge for a minute.

  4. 4

Cut the bread in half and spread with a thick layer of the butter mixture.

  5. 5

Bake for 9-10 minutes in the middle of the oven. Add an extra 1-2 minutes if you want for more browning.

  6. 6

Remove from the oven, cut into slices, and serve. Life is good.

About this Recipe

Craving the ultimate homemade garlic bread that’s ridiculously easy yet bursting with flavor? This "House Favorite Garlic Bread" is your new go-to, perfect for elevating any meal with minimal effort and maximum deliciousness.

What makes this cheesy bread stand out is the brilliant combination of fresh garlic for its pungent bite, layered with a touch of garlic powder for a deeper, more rounded flavor. This fragrant duo is married with rich salted butter and savory finely grated Parmesan, creating a simple formula that delivers an incredible impact, making it far superior to anything store-bought.

Prepare yourself for a delightful aroma filling your kitchen as this garlic bread bakes to golden perfection. You’ll experience a wonderfully crisp crust giving way to a soft, warm interior, generously infused with fragrant garlic and herbs. The Parmesan cheese adds a salty, umami layer that makes each bite utterly irresistible, ideal as a side for nearly any dish.

While fantastic as written, feel free to adapt this recipe to your pantry. You can easily use a full loaf of Italian bread instead of French bread if that's what you have on hand. If fresh parsley isn't available, a smaller amount of dried parsley will still add a touch of color and herbiness.

This versatile cheesy bread is an ideal companion for hearty soups, comforting pasta dishes, or sizzling grilled meats, transforming any meal into something special. Serve it hot, straight from the oven, for the absolute best experience.
