
Using an Instant Pot is a great way to prepare brown jasmine rice. It's so easy!
Start by rinsing your uncooked brown jasmine rice with fresh water. This removes any starch that has built up during storage. Excess starch makes your rice more sticky.
Add 1 cup of rice and 1 and ¼ cups of water to the bowl of your Instant Pot, or pressure cooker. Give it a stir.
Close the lid and make sure the valve is in the "sealing" position. Use the "Pressure Cook" setting. Cook on high for 22 minutes.
Once cooking is done, allow the Instant Pot to naturally release the pressure for 7 minutes. Then release the remaining pressure by following the quick-release instructions for your model. Your rice is ready!
