Tasty, easy, and taking only 25 minutes to make, this Instant Pot Dirty Rice is a great weeknight meal that is filling and flavorful!

Ingredients

  • 2 poundsground beef
  • 1 tablespoonolive oil
  • 1 largeyellow onion (diced)
  • 1green bell pepper (cored and diced)
  • 2celery stalks (diced)
  • 3garlic cloves (minced)
  • ¼ teaspoonthyme
  • ½ teaspoondried oregano
  • 1 tablespooncreole seasoning
  • 1 tablespoonworcestershire
  • salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 1 cupslong grain white rice
  • 2 cupsbeef broth
  • 1bay leaf
  • sliced green onions (for garnish)
  • chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Directions

    Turn your Instant Pot on to Saute mode.

    Add the oil to the bottom of the Instant Pot to warm and then add the ground beef. Saute until the meat is crumbled and cooked through.

    Stir in the onions, celery and bell peppers. Saute for another 2-3 minutes until the vegetables are softened.

    Add in the remaining ingredients with the bay leaf on top and place the lid on the Instant Pot. Set the steam valve to sealed and select manual high pressure for 5 minutes.

    Once the Instant Pot has finished cooking, allow the pressure to release naturally for 10 minutes.

    After 10 minutes, turn the steam valve to release any remaining pressure and remove the lid.

    Discard the bay leaf and stir in the green onions. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve, enjoy!
