These light and airy puffs are made with a simple dough of butter, milk, flour, and eggs, baked until golden. Serve warm with honey or your favorite toppings.

Ingredients

  • unsalted butter
    ½ c
  • milk
    1 c
  • all-purpose flour
    ¾ c
  • eggs
    4 large
  • granulated sugar

    ½ tbsp
  • granulated sugar

  • honey

    Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a regular muffin tin, including the rims.

    In a medium saucepan, melt the butter. Add the milk and bring to a simmer.

    Add the flour all at once. Stir vigorously with a wooden spoon over low heat until a ball of dough forms and pulls away from the sides of the pan.

    Remove from heat and let the dough cool for 5 minutes.

    Add the eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly with a wooden spoon after each addition.

    Divide the dough evenly among the prepared muffin cups. Sprinkle each puff with granulated sugar.

    Bake for 30 minutes, or until puffed and golden brown.
