
Old-Fashioned Banana Bread
Ingredients
- 3½ cups all-purpose flour
sifted
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 cups mashed
ripened bananas, about 4-6
- 2 Tablespoons lemon juice
- ¾ cup shortening
- 1½ cups sugar
- 3 eggs
- ¾ cup milk
- ½ cup pecans or walnuts

Directions

Sift flour, baking powder, salt, and baking soda together.

Mash bananas. Add lemon juice and stir.
