Caramelized Cocoa Nibs

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp. cocoa nibs
  • 6 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. butter

    Line a baking pan with parchment paper. Set aside. Cook the cocoa nibs, sugar, and 3 tablespoons water in a skillet over medium heat until the sugar melts to deep amber. Stir in the butter and pour onto the pan. Cool until brittle. Break up with a mallet or skillet.
