These salted chocolate pecan bars are gooey, buttery, and packed with dark chocolate.

Ingredients

  • 1 cupall-purpose flour (or ¾ cup almond flour, or 1 cup gluten-free 1:1 blend)
  • ¼ cupgranulated sugar
  • ¼ cupstick cold unsalted butter, cubed
  • ¾ cupbrown sugar
  • 2 largeeggs
  • ¼ cupmaple syrup
  • 1 tspvanilla bean paste (or extract)
  • ½ tspsalt
  • 2 tbspmelted butter
  • ½ cupchopped pecans
  • ½ cupdark chocolate chips
  • ½ cupwhole pecans
  • flaky sea salt

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350°F. Line 8×8 pan with parchment.

    Mix crust ingredients. Press into pan. Bake 12–14 minutes. Cool slightly.

    Whisk brown sugar, eggs, syrup, vanilla, salt. Add melted butter. Fold in chopped pecans and chocolate.

    Pour over crust. Top with whole pecans. Bake 25–30 minutes.

    Cool completely, chill 2+ hours. Slice and top with flaky sea salt.
