Ingredients

  • 1 package Pillsbury reduced fat crescent roll dough*see note
  • 6 low point hot dogs, patted dry- I like to use 97% Hebrew National Franks- they are only 45 calories and 1 PersonalPoint per hot dog
  • 1 Tbsp yellow mustard or no sugar added ketchup

Directions

  1. 1

Unroll dough into triangles. Cut only 6 triangles into 3-4 thin strips.

  2. 2

Wrap 3 strips of dough around each hot dog, stretching dough slightly so they look like bandages. You'll only use 6 out of the 8 crescent dough triangles. If you wanted you can make 4 additional hot dog mummies or make two crescent rolls out of the leftover dough.

  3. 3

Leave a small space exposed at the top for the face. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  4. 4

Place crescent dogs on prepared baking sheet; laying the mummy’s about 2 inches apart.

  5. 5

Cook 12 to 14 minutes or until golden brown.

  6. 6

Remove from oven and allow to cool for a few minutes before adding “eyes” with mustard or ketchup using a toothpick to dot the eyes.

  7. 7

    Enjoy!
