This Bacon Fried Rice is a delicious twist on classic fried rice, featuring crispy bacon, fluffy rice, and a savory mix of vegetables and seasonings. Quick, easy, and packed with umami flavor, it’s perfect for a weeknight meal or a satisfying side dish!
Heat a large skillet or wok over medium heat.
Add the chopped bacon and cook until crispy (4-5 minutes). Remove with a slotted spoon and set aside, leaving the bacon grease in the pan.
Push the bacon grease to one side of the pan and pour in the beaten eggs. Scramble until fully cooked, then transfer to a plate.
In the same pan, add garlic, carrots, and peas. Sauté for 2 minutes until softened.
Increase the heat to medium-high, then add the cold rice. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes, breaking up any clumps.
Stir in soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Mix well.
Return the bacon and scrambled eggs to the pan, tossing everything together.
Drizzle with sesame oil and stir in green onions for extra flavor.
Serve hot, garnished with extra green onions or a fried egg on top!
