Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsps olive oil, divided
  • 1-1/2 lbs ground turkey
  • 1/4 cup coconut aminos, tamari, Braggs liquid aminos, or low sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup homemade ketchup
  • 2 Tbsps raw honey or pure maple syrup
  • 1 tsp red chili flakes, or to taste
  • 2 lbs fresh green beans, ends trimmed
  • 3 fresh garlic cloves, pressed
  • sea salt and ground black pepper, to taste
  • 2 cups cooked brown rice, cauliflower rice, or quinoa
  • 2 Tbsps toasted sesame seeds

Directions

  1. 1

Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground meat and mince the meat with a wooden spoon as it cooks.

  2. 2

Once the meat begins to brown, stir in the coconut aminos, ketchup, honey, and chili flakes.

  3. 3

Set the cooked meat aside on a plate.

  4. 4

Preheat the same skillet again with the remaining tablespoon of oil.

  5. 5

Add in your green beans and 1/4 cup of water. Stir in the fresh garlic and season with sea salt and pepper. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the water has evaporated and the beans are bright green and tender.

  6. 6

Return the meat back into the skillet, and stir to combine with the beans.

  7. 7

Serve over cooked brown rice or quinoa if desired and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

  8. 8

    Enjoy!
