Ingredients

  • 16 ounceslump crab meat (1 can), or imitation crab ((see the notes for instructions to use imitation crab))
  • 1egg ((lightly beaten))
  • ½ cuppanko bread crumbs
  • ¼ cupmayonnaise
  • 2 teaspoonsold bay spice ((or more - season to taste))
  • 1 tablespoonlemon juice
  • 1 teaspoononion powder
  • ¼ teaspoonblack pepper
  • 3 teaspoonsbutter ((or substitute))

Directions

    Place crab, egg, bread crumbs, mayonnaise, Old Bay spice, lemon juice, onion powder and pepper in a large bowl.

    Mix thoroughly.

    Form mixture into 6 patties.

    Heat butter in a skillet over medium to medium-high heat. Cook the patties until they are browned on each side, about 5 minutes per side.
