Grab a can of large biscuits and learn how to make easy canned biscuit donuts with vanilla and chocolate glaze and delicious biscuit donut holes with cinnamon sugar. Deep fry, bake, or air fry them in just a few minutes time!

Ingredients

  • 1 can of Pillsbury Grands Biscuits
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup confectioner’s sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 2-3 tbsp milk
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1–2 tbsp milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

Directions

  1. 1

Begin warming oil in a deep fryer to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. I use this one by T-fal, and I love it! It makes frying things so easy and there’s no messy clean-up! Alternatively, you can use a deep dutch oven pot like this.

  2. 2

Using a small round biscuit/cookie cutter, cut out the center of each canned biscuit to form your donuts. The round shapes you cut out will be used for your donut holes.

  3. 3

In a microwavable bowl, begin making the biscuit donuts glaze icing by warming 2 tbsp butter until melted. Add in sugar, vanilla, and milk, stirring well until you have reached the desired smooth consistency. Set aside.

  4. 4

In a separate bowl, prepare your chocolate glaze by combining cocoa powder, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk, and whisking together until smooth. Set aside.

  5. 5

In a small bowl combine the sugar and cinnamon you will use to coat the canned biscuit donut holes.

  6. 6

Once oil has reached 375 degrees, begin frying your canned biscuit donuts in the oil two at a time, 1 minute per side. Repeat until all large donuts have been fried. Once completed, add in all the donut holes at once and fry for 1 minute total, turning halfway through.

  7. 7

Place fried canned biscuit donuts on paper towel or cooling rack with a pan underneath to drain any excess oil.

  8. 8

Place large donuts into glazed icing one at a time, coating both sides well. Using a tong, carefully place donut on cooling rack. Repeat until all donuts have been glazed. If glazing with chocolate icing, dip one side into the glaze. Toss canned biscuit donut holes in cinnamon sugar mixture, coating well.

Enjoy your delicious and easy canned biscuit donuts with your family or friends!
