Ingredients

  • 4 mediumpotatoes, sliced super thin
  • 1 poundground beef
  • 1 mediumonion, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoonolive oil
  • ½ cupbeef broth
  • 2garlic cloves, minced
  • ¼ cupmilk (optional)
  • salt and black pepper, as needed
  • ½ cupparmesan, grated
  • 1 teaspoonitalian blend seasoning
  • ½ teaspoonpaprika powder
  • 1 ½ cupscheddar cheese, shredded
  • fresh parsley for topping

Directions

  1. 1

Turn on your oven and set it to 375°F (190°C). Slice the potatoes so they're around ¼-inch thick.

  2. 2

Warm up olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Toss in onions and garlic, cooking until they smell amazing. Add the beef, sprinkle on seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper, then cook it until no pink is left.

  3. 3

Coat your baking dish lightly. Lay down half the potatoes, top with half the beef, and sprinkle on half of the cheddar. Do the same layers again, then drizzle the broth (plus milk if you want) over everything.

  4. 4

Cover the dish tightly with foil and pop it in the oven for 35–40 minutes. Take off the foil, add Parmesan cheese on top, and bake for 10 more minutes without covering it until it turns golden.

  5. 5

Let it sit for a good 5 minutes. Sprinkle parsley on top, grab a plate, and dive into that cheesy goodness!
