This Garlic Chicken Parmesan Pasta is the ultimate comfort food that uses just a single skillet. A garlicky, cream sauce coats al dente pasta and topped with chicken and cheese for an irresistible restaurant-quality pasta at home.
Season chicken on both sides with garlic powder and 1 teaspoon each salt and white pepper.
In a large skillet on medium-high heat, add butter. Once hot, sear the seasoned chicken 6-8 minutes per side or until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F. Thighs will take a few extra minutes. Transfer to a plate and lower the heat to medium.
Add garlic, and sauté for 30 seconds.
Add broth and scrape up any solid bits from the pan. Bring to a boil.
Add pasta and cook until al dente.
Whisk together cornstarch and heavy cream. Add the mixture to the pasta.
Stir in 1/4 cup parmesan cheese. Season with salt and white pepper to taste.
Place the cooked chicken on a cutting board and cut into strips.
Serve pasta in individual bowls topped with chicken. Garnish with additional parmesan cheese if desired.
