  • 4 lb.chicken pieces (i used legs and thighs), rinsed, skin and fat removed
  • 2 tsp.salt
  • cracked black pepper
  • 1 tsp.yellow mustard
  • 1whole medium onion, halved
  • 1whole tomato, quartered
  • 8 clovesgarlic
  • 8 sprigscilantro
  • 2 tbsp.(rounded) curry powder (i used a trini mix)
  • 2 tsp.turmeric
  • 4 tbsp.vegetable oil
  • jalapeno pepper, sliced (optional)
  • potatoes (optional)
