Ingredients

  • For the Dish: 1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 8 oz (225g) smoked sausage, sliced into ½-inch pieces
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • For the Honey Garlic Sauce: ¼ cup honey
  • ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • For Serving: Cooked rice or quinoa
  • Fresh parsley or cilantro, chopped for garnish

Directions

    Whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes in a small bowl. Set aside.

    Heat olive oil in a large skillet. Brown the sausage for 5 minutes, then remove from the skillet.

    In the same skillet, cook shrimp with salt and pepper for 2–3 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.

    Add broccoli to the skillet with a splash of water. Cover and steam for 3–4 minutes, then uncover to evaporate remaining water.
