Ingredients

  • 1chocolate fudge cake mix, plus ingredients listed on box
  • 6ounce box chocolate peanut butter pudding mix (i used dove)
  • 2 ¾ cupmilk
  • ½ cupcreamy peanut butter, plus 2 tablespoons
  • 1jar hot fudge ice cream topping
  • 8 ouncecontainer whipped topping
  • peanut butter cups candy, chopped

Directions

    Prepare and bake cake mix in a 9x13 baking pan according to box directions.

    While cake is still warm, using the round end of a wooden spoon, poke holes in cake every inch or so.

    In a medium bowl, whisk together the pudding mix, milk and 1/2 cup peanut butter until blended and smooth. Should be slightly thinner than pudding consitency.

    Spoon pudding mixture over cake and into holes. Tap the cake gently to let pudding sink into the holes. Spread evenly over entire cake.

    Heat hot fudge in microwave for 30 seconds. Drizzle about 1/2 the jar over cake and swirl into the pudding mixture with a spatula.

    Cool in refrigerator until well chilled, about 2 hours.

    Frost cake with whipped topping.

    Heat 2 Tablespoons of hot fudge in the microwave until pourable, and drizzle across cake diagonally. Repeat the process with remaining peanut butter and drizzle diagonally in the opposite direction.

    Sprinkle with chopped peanut butter cups. Refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving.
