Ground Pork Lettuce Wraps Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 carrot
  • 1/2 bell pepper
  • 2 green onions
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seed oil
  • 17 ounces ground pork
  • 1/2 cup cashew nuts
  • 4 tablespoons dark soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 head romaine lettuce

    Begin the recipe by chopping the carrot, bell pepper, and green onions into thin, vertical strips.

    Place the sesame seed oil into a frying pan and turn the heat up to medium-high heat.

    Fry the ground pork until brown — this will take about 10 minutes.

    Toast the cashews in the oven for 1 to 2 minutes on the highest boil setting, until golden brown.

    Add soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, chili flakes, and salt to the ground pork. Mix together and cook for 3 minutes.
