
This buttery bourbon sauce packs a sweet kick with hints of vanilla and brown sugar. It’s the perfect finishing touch for anything from meats and seafood to vegetables, bread pudding, and even ice cream.
Add butter and brown sugar to a small saucepan and place over a medium-low heat setting. Stir constantly until the mixture melts and combines.
Add in the bourbon and let it boil for a minute to allow the alcohol to evaporate.
Stir in the honey and vanilla until combined. (The consistency should be similar to that of maple syrup at this stage.)
Remove pot from heat when the mixture reaches desired consistency and allow to cool slightly.
