
This super easy Sausage and Peppers recipe is sooo good and screams low-effort, high-reward. Sautéed bell peppers and onions with hunks of juicy sausage and extra flavor from Italian seasoning and garlic. Serve with steamed rice for a perfect meal!
In a large skillet, heat the butter and olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the bell peppers and onions and sauté until tender and lightly caramelized, about 10-12 minutes. If your mixture is browning too quickly, reduce the heat while sautéing.
Add the sausage rounds and stir well to combine with the peppers/onions. Continue cooking the mixture until the sausage achieves a golden brown color, about 3-4 minutes.
Next, add the minced garlic, Italian seasoning/herbs de provence, and salt/pepper- to taste and stir well to combine. Continue cooking for another 1-2 minutes until everything melds nicely.
Garnish the dish with fresh chopped parsley. Serve the sausage and peppers immediately on top of steamed rice, if desired. Enjoy!
