Roasted Cabbage and Carrots

Ingredients

  • 1 largehead cabbage (cut into wedges)
  • 1yellow onion (sliced)
  • 4carrots (peeled and sliced)
  • 1 cupchicken broth
  • ¼ cupbutter (cubed)
  • seasonings to taste (i use garlic salt and cracked black pepper)

Directions

    Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.

    Arrange the cabbage wedges in a 9x13 baking dish or a baking sheet with raised sides.

    Add carrots and onions around the cabbage.

    Pour the chicken broth into the pan.

    Sprinkle the butter over the cabbage and season liberally.

    Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.

    Remove the aluminum foil and cook for an additional 15 minutes to brown slightly.

    Serve warm and enjoy.
