Salted Caramel Rice Krispie Treats

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cups mini marshmallows
  • 6 cups rice krispies cereal
  • 20 caramels (unwrapped)
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • coarse salt

Directions

    Spray a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan with cooking spray and set aside.

    In a large saucepan melt butter over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat.

    Add Rice Krispie cereal. Stir until well coated. Using buttered fingers, spatula or wax paper evenly press mixture into prepared dish. Set aside.

    In a small bowl, microwave caramels and cream until thoroughly melted and smooth. Cut into squares and drizzle with caramel and sprinkle with salt.
