  • 1 poundlean ground beef
  • 1 smallsweet onion (, diced)
  • ½ smallgreen bell pepper (, diced)

  • ½ cupketchup
  • ⅓ cupwater
  • 1 tablespoonbrown sugar
  • 1 tablespoonworcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoonsyellow mustard
  • ½ teaspooncoarse salt
  • ¼ teaspoonblack pepper
  • ¼ teaspoonred pepper flakes
  • 4toasted buns (, for serving)

Directions
