Ingredients

  • 1 lbground beef (lean)
  • 2 cansblack beans (or dried, soaked and cooked)
  • 2 cansfire-roasted tomatoes
  • 1 largeonion, diced
  • 3 clovesgarlic, minced
  • 2jalapeños, diced
  • 2chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, chopped
  • 1 tbspground cumin
  • 1 tbspchili powder
  • 1 tsppaprika
  • ½ tspcayenne pepper (optional for extra heat)
  • 3 cupsbeef broth
  • fresh cilantro (for garnish)

Directions

    Brown the Beef: In a large pot over medium-high heat, add oil and brown the ground beef for 5-7 minutes, breaking it up with a spoon.
