These Orange Creamsicle Cookies are bursting with orange flavor – just like the beloved creamsicle frozen treat! These soft and chewy orange cookies are so easy using a cake mix combined with cream cheese and then loaded with white chocolate chips.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 8 ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon orange extract
  • 1 box orange cake mix
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • orange food coloring (optional)

Directions

  1. 1

Preheat oven to 350F. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper.

  2. 2

In a large mixing bowl, beat together the butter, orange extract, cream cheese, and egg with an electric mixer until smooth. Add the cake mix and mix well. Optional: add orange food coloring if desired until the cookie dough reaches your desired orange color.

  3. 3

Stir the white chocolate chips into the cookie dough. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

  4. 4

Form the dough into 24 balls. Roll each in the powdered sugar and then place on the parchment paper lined (or silicone mat) cookie sheets.

  5. 5

Bake the cookies at 350F for 12-13 minutes. Cool on the baking sheet for 2-3 minutes, then remove from the pan and finish cooling on a wire cooling rack.
