This homemade Heart Shaped Pizza makes date night or Valentine's Day extra special! Topped with heart shaped pepperoni and is so easy to make!

Ingredients

  • 1 ball store bought or homemade pizza dough
  • 1 Tbsp. pesto; optional
  • 1/4 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 1/2- 2 cups mozzarella cheese; shredded
  • Pepperoni;l as many as you prefer
  • 2 tsp. olive oil

Directions

    Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly dust with flour.

    To make your heart shaped pizza dough, roll pizza dough out to form about a 12-14 inch round crust on a floured surface. Shape the dough into a round circle. With a pair of clean scissors, cut a line down the center about 4 inches deep. Form a heart shape with your hands and then transfer to prepared baking sheet.

    Spread pesto and pizza sauce evenly on top of pizza dough. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top and then add desired amount of pepperoni.

    Brush the crust with olive oil and bake for 8-12 minutes according to your pizza dough instructions. The pizza crust should be a lightly golden brown color and the cheese will bubble. Let cool for a few minutes, then cut into desired pieces and enjoy!
