This is the most amazing soft and chewy caramel popcorn recipe you will ever make. This is one of my favorite tried-and-true dessert recipes that you can enjoy any time of the year. Made with only 6 inexpensive pantry ingredients, this will be everything you hope for in a caramel popcorn recipe.

Ingredients

  • 3 bagsregular size microwave popcorn, or 1 cup kernels popped
  • ½ cupbutter
  • 1 cupbrown sugar
  • 1 cuplight corn syrup
  • 14 ozcan sweetened condensed milk
  • ½ tsp.vanilla
  • 1 cupraw whole almonds

Directions

    Place the popped popcorn in a large mixing bowl, and remove any kernels. Set aside.

    In a medium saucepan combine butter, brown sugar, and corn syrup. Heat the ingredients over medium-low heat until the butter is melted and the ingredients are combined.

    Pour sweetened condensed milk into saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer and continually stir for 3-4 minutes, making sure caramel doesn’t burn.

    Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.

    Immediately pour caramel over popcorn and stir to coat all the popcorn well.
