Ingredients

  • – 12 oz pappardelle pasta
  • – 2 tbsp olive oil
  • – 1 lb ground beef or turkey
  • – 2 cups sliced mushrooms
  • – 1 small onion, diced
  • – 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • – 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • – 1/2 cup beef or vegetable broth
  • – 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • – Salt and pepper to taste
  • – Fresh parsley for garnish

Directions

    Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook pappardelle according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

    2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sauté the ground beef until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside.

    3. In the same skillet, cook onions and mushrooms until softened, about 8 minutes. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.

    4. Stir in crushed tomatoes, broth, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Return the ground beef to the skillet. Simmer for 15-20 minutes to develop flavors.
