German Chocolate Brownies Recipe

A brownie version of German Chocolate Cake. Same wonderful flavors but easier to make!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter (8 Tablespoons)
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup light brown sugar (packed)
  • 1 Tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large egg yolks
  • 1/3 teaspoon salt
  • 6 Tablespoons butter
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup toasted pecans (finely chopped)
  • 1 1/2 cup toasted sweetened shredded coconut

Directions

    Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

    In saucepan combine cream, sugar, egg yolks, and salt. Cook over medium low heat until the mixture comes to a low boil. Stir constantly.
