This One Pot Bacon Cheeseburger Rice has everything you love about a burger—crispy bacon, seasoned beef, melted sharp cheddar, and a hit of pickle tang—all in one comforting, cheesy skillet meal.

Ingredients

  • 6-8 Slices Bacon, Chopped
  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 1 Small Onion, diced
  • 3-4 Garlic Cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp Kinders Caramelized Onion Burger Seasoning (or any of your favorite burger seasoning)
  • 2 tsps Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Tomato Paste
  • 1 tbsp Dill Pickle Relish
  • 1 tsp Yellow or Dijon Mustard
  • 8 oz Can of Tomato Sauce
  • 1 Cup Uncooked Long Grain White Rice (I used Jasmine Rice)
  • 2 1/4 Cups Beef Broth
  • 2 Cups Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese (or any flavor of cheese that you like on your burgers)

Directions

  1. 1

Cook bacon in a large pot until crispy. Remove and set aside.

  2. 2

Leave about 1 tsp of the bacon grease in the pan and cook the ground beef, onion and garlic until browned. Drain the excess grease.

  3. 3

Stir in the garlic, Kinder’s Caramelized Onion Burger Seasoning, and Worcestershire sauce. Cook for 1–2 minutes.

  4. 4

Add the tomato paste and cook for another 1–2 minutes.

  5. 5

Stir in the dill pickle relish, mustard, and tomato sauce.

  6. 6

Add the uncooked rice and beef broth. Stir to combine. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 18–20 minutes, or until the rice is tender and has absorbed the liquid.

  7. 7

Remove from heat. Stir in 1 cup of the cheese and the reserved bacon. Then sprinkle the top with the rest of the cheese, cover, and let it sit for 3–5 minutes until melted and gooey.

  8. 8

    Serve hot and enjoy!
