Let's make homemade no-salt taco seasoning for your favorite Mexican-inspired recipes! This DIY seasoning mix is mild in spice to bring just a hint of heat to your favorite tacos. There's no added salt to keep recipes low sodium if needed, or seasoned to your preference. Make it in bulk and keep it on hand for a DIY alternative to store-bought packets.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoonground chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoononion powder
  • 1 teaspoongarlic powder
  • 1 teaspoondried oregano
  • ½ teaspooncayenne pepper (optional, for a little heat)
  • ¼ teaspoonsmoked paprika (for regular paprika, use ½ teaspoon)
  • ⅛ teaspoonfreshly ground black pepper

Directions

    In a bowl, add all of the ingredients and whisk or stir until completely incorporated together. Or, shake them together in a jar. Store in an airtight container in a dark cupboard for up to six months.
