Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a clean bowl, beat the egg whites and cream of tartar until stiff peaks form.
In a separate bowl, mix the egg yolks, blended cottage cheese, salt, and cornstarch (if using) until well combined and smooth.
Gently fold the whipped egg whites into the yolk mixture in batches, being careful not to deflate the mixture.
Spoon the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, forming 6 even mounds.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the bread is firm to the touch.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
