Smokey, sweet, and garnished with a toasted marshmallow, this is everything a summer campfire needs in one glass.
On a heat-proof surface such as a baking sheet, place 2-3 woodchips and ignite until lightly burning. Place glass upside down over woodchips, trapping in the smoke and extinguishing the flames.*
While the glass is smoking, add a sugar cube to a mixing glass and dash bitters and vanilla extract over cube. Muddle until broken apart and partially dissolved, then add one ice cube and the bourbon. Stir until chilled, about 15 seconds.
Spread graham cracker crumbs onto a small plate. Garnish the glass by dipping or painting one side with simple syrup or honey.* Roll into the crumbs, creating a graham cracker rim or side detail.
Add one ice cube to the glass, then strain drink over ice. Garnish with marshmallow to serve.*
