Grilled carrots treated like buffalo wings is a delicious way to enjoy your veggies in the summer.

Ingredients

  • 2 lb.medium carrots with tops, peeled, tops reserved
  • 1 tbsp.canola oil, plus more for grill
  • 1 tsp.kosher salt
  • ½ tsp.black pepper
  • 1 tbsp.unsalted butter
  • 1 largegarlic clove, minced (about 3/4 tsp.)
  • ¼ cupbuffalo-style hot sauce (such as frank’s)
  • 1 tbsp.light brown sugar
  • ¼ cupblue cheese crumbles
  • torn carrot leaves

    Prep Carrots Preheat grill to high (450°F to 500°F). Toss carrots, oil, salt, and pepper together in a large bowl.

    Grill Carrots Place carrots on oiled grates; grill, covered, until starting to char and carrots are crisp-tender, 8 to 12 minutes, rotating carrots every few minutes.

    Make Sauce Heat butter in a small saucepan over medium. Add garlic and cook, stirring often, until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Stir in hot sauce and brown sugar. Bring to a boil, whisking constantly until emulsified, and remove from heat.
