Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 1/3 Cup Beef broth
  • 1/4 Cup Brown sugar
  • 1/4 Cup Teriyaki sauce
  • 3 Tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 Green onion stalk, minced
  • 2 Tbsp Neutral oil
  • 1 Tbsp Minced garlic
  • 1 Tbsp corn starch
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp Sesame oil
  • Green onion and sesame seeds for garnish
  • Desired amount of white rice

Directions

  1. 1

In preheated wok or non-stick skillet, add neutral oil, garlic, green onions, and crushed peppers, then sauté until fragrant.

  2. 2

Add in your ground beef and cook until brown in color, for about 5-7 minutes.

  3. 3

In a large bowl or measuring cup, add in your sugar, beef broth, teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, corn starch, red pepper flakes, black pepper, and sesame oil. Stir really well and make sure there are no clumps of corn starch.

  4. 4

Add the sauce mixture to the cooked meat and stir until dark in color and thick. You’ll know the sauce is thick enough when you scrape the pan, and it takes a second for everything to come back together.

  5. 5

Serve over white rice. Add your garnish and enjoy!
