Oven Baked Crispy White Beans are a quick and easy healthy snack, They are made with canned white beans, seasoning and olive oil all tossed together. Then, they are baked in the oven until lightly browned and crispy!

Ingredients

  • 2 cans great northern or other white beans (drained and rinsed)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp cayenne (optional)
  • 2 tsp cornstarch

Directions

    Preheat your oven to 400. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.

    Allow the beans to drain thoroughly so they aren’t wet when you season them. (*See recipe tips!)

    In a large bowl, gently toss the beans with olive oil.

    In a small bowl, mix together the garlic, onion, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, cayenne, and cornstarch. Add this mix to the bowl with the beans and gently toss to coat the beans in the seasonings.

    Dump the seasoned beans onto the lined baking sheet and gently spread them out in a single layer.

    Bake for 15 minutes, then stir the beans and return to the oven for 15 more minutes. Check to see if they are crispy and make sure they aren’t burning and continue cooking for 5 minutes at a time until they are crispy.

    Enjoy right away or store in a sealed container at room temperature for 2-3 days. They won’t be as crispy after being stored.
