Spread the lemon pie filling evenly over the bottom of your prepared dish.
Evenly scatter the cubed cream cheese over the lemon pie filling for pockets of creamy bliss in every bite.
Sprinkle the yellow cake mix directly (and evenly) over the lemon and cream cheese layers—no need to mix!
Arrange the thinly sliced butter atop the cake mix, trying to cover as much of the surface as possible.
Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbling along the edges.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool for at least 10 minutes before serving.
