This baked French toast is prepared the night before. Delicious served with berries and syrup for a sweet and sumptuous breakfast or brunch treat.

Ingredients

  • 1loaf french bread, cut diagonally in 1 inch slices
  • 8eggs
  • 2 cupsmilk
  • 1 ½ cupshalf-and-half cream
  • 2 teaspoonsvanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoonground cinnamon
  • ¾ cupbutter
  • 1 ⅓333730698 cups brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoonslight corn syrup

Directions

    Butter a 9x13-inch baking dish; arrange slices of bread on the bottom.

    Beat eggs, milk, cream, vanilla, and cinnamon together in a large bowl. Pour over bread slices, cover, and refrigerate overnight.

    The next morning, preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Meanwhile, combine butter, brown sugar, and corn syrup together in a small saucepan; heat until bubbling.
