This vegan recipe for broccoli with garlic sauce tastes just like what you get from a Chinese restaurant. Add tofu and rice for a well-rounded meal.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups vegetable broth
  • 2 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce, or tamari
  • 1 teaspoon ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 bunches broccoli, trimmed and chopped (about 2 1/4 pounds)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch
