Easy-to-Make Curry Chicken & Cabbage

This Curry Chicken & Cabbage is cooked with lots of flavor and spices like curry, turmeric, and all-purpose seasoning; it’s a great way to introduce Caribbean cooking into your home.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. chicken breast or thighs ((cut into small cubes))
  • 2 cups cabbage ((shredded or chopped))
  • ½ cup carrots or tomatoes((julienne or chopped, optional))
  • 1 tbsp. curry powder
  • 2 tsp. turmeric powder ( optional)
  • ½ tsp. ginger flavoring
  • 2 tsp all-purpose seasoning
  • 1 tsp. thyme leaves
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • ¼ tsp. cumin
  • 1 tsp cayenne
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • Unknown ingredient

Directions

    Clean and wash chicken breast. Cut into small pieces or cubes and set aside.

    Season chicken with the following ingredients: all-purpose seasoning, curry powder, turmeric powder, , ginger flavoring, onion, garlic, and cumin. Set aside to marinate for 1-2 hours.

    Heat oil in a frying pan, place each chicken piece in the oil, and stir-fry for 10 minutes. Remove from heat.

    Add shredded cabbage and carrots, and stir in the same frying pan. Allow the cabbage to steam for 5-7 minutes until the cabbage has shrunk slightly.

    Add cooked chicken to cabbage along with all the seasoning. Add thyme leaves and black pepper and toss to combine everything. Allow to cook for another 5-7 minutes.

    Remove from heat and serve.
