Chicken Biryani ~ Rice Cooker Style

Chicken Biryani Rice Cooker Style is a south Indian style dum biryani where we use the Rice Cooker for the final Dum process.

Ingredients

  • 1 kg Chicken
  • 3/4 cups Thick Curds
  • 1 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • A Pinch Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tbsp Poppy Seeds
  • 4 Cloves
  • 2" Cinnamon
  • 3 - 4 Cardamom
  • 4 - 5 Green Chillies
  • 1/2 cup Mint Leaves (tightly packed)
  • 1/2 Coriander Leaves (tightly packed)
  • 2 tbsp Cooking Oil + 1 tsp Ghee
  • 2 big Onions (to be browned)
  • 2 cups Basmati Rice
  • Salt to taste
  • 3 cups Water

    Wash and cut the chicken into small pieces. Marinate in the curds, red chilli powder, salt, ginger garlic paste. Keep it aside for at least two hours.
